About kassia1

Hi everyone! So I'm going into my senior year in college at a private school in Boston. I have really enjoyed my experiences there but it has been an uphill battle ever since I entered its doors. Finances have always been an issue, I have always been in danger of not being able to return for the semester. Now that I am a senior a few changes have occurred. A few of the loan programs that I have used throughout my school career have been dissolved. This has left me with a sizeable balance that I owe the school. I have tried to take out loans but I need a cosigner. Since both of my parents cannot cosign due to bad credit, a private loan option isn't an option for  me. Also no one in my family is willing to cosign, due to their bad credit and low incomes. I don't have any friends who would cosign for me either. As you can imagine this leaves me in a tough spot. It has gotten to a point that I was considering leaving my current institution but that wouldn't do me any good at all. I work and try to contribute a little but living in Boston is not cheap by any means. I would really appreciate help from anyone. Successful people don't generally become successful on their own, there is always one or a few people who gave them that chance.

Hello, I am a working mom who got involved with a mortgage that goes beyond my means.  I am $5,000 behind on my bills.  I am currently trying to generate some extra income this summer.  In the mean time, I'm losing the money battle.  I am confident that everything will work out.  Right now I need any help I can get.  I just can't lose my house.  I am pleading for your help.  Please consider me in your generous giving. Thank you.

This would work better if everyone believed in the share the wealth idea. I think that we wouldn't be able to make a difference unless we stayed together like a family. If we wrote letters to the government and asked for help to keep our families together some sort of tax relief for hard times. It would also be great if everyone could brainstorm together to write a bill that would save families in desperate times. There is section eight for unwed mothers food stamps for immigrants but what about the married families trying to stay together just going through hard times. No relief I don't like it I don't have the education to change things but this page isn't really working out to well for anyone.

College student sinking in debt while trying to support herself

I am in my thrid year of college, on loans, and i have been supporting myself on my own for the past two years.  My mother is a single parent with four children, and after a messy divorce to my step-father, she wasn't able to keep helping me at school.  I work two to three jobs on campus (depending, right now I'm working two).  I also work as a sales associate when I go home for vacations.  The problem is that minimum wage at school is $5.15 an hour and I'm not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week (which I don't get anyway).  I started charging everything to credit cards so that I could afford to buy food and things I needed for school, and now I have about $3,000 racked up in credit card bills.  I am not one of those people that just shops, but I needed to look like everything was okay so that I didn't stress my mom out more than she already was (she also has two jobs).  I am wondering if there is anyone that would be interested in helping me out.  I am planning on paying off all this debt and staying with only one card, which I will use for emergencies only.  I am thought by my family to be very responsible.  I do well in school, and I also help out a lot with raising my sisters.  It's really embarassing for me to admit to this problem to my family.  What I really want is to pay it off as soon as possible.  I am even willing to pay the money back to whoever loans it (as long as it is without interest).  The main thing is getting rid of the debt before interest hits any worse.  Thanks so much for your time.

If you are interested in helping me out, but don't have any money to donate you can also help by following my link and signing up.  Here you can sign up to win free prizes, and all you have to do is sign up and complete 1 credit worth of offers.  I get credit for referring people and can eventually win money (which will go toward paying my debt).  The offers are mainly just free trials, but I get credit for every person who signs up through my link.

I am a single mom aged 41. i'd like to try to buy a house for my very small family. i want to give my daughter some stability. however. i cannot afford it, because i have an overwhelming school debt hanging over my head. any tips or suggestions on how to pay it back or have some of it forgiven would be most appreciated.

also, the father of my baby will not get a job and pay his support to her. it is causing quite a lot of strain on my finances also...

any help would be paid forward as soon as possible in any way i can.

I really need some help. I am trying to take care of 3 children and am working 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs. Husband is not working right now and hasn't worked in a very long time because of an addiction problem and he continues to drink. Our natural gas service (heats water, makes stove work etc) has been shutoff because we couldn't come up with the balance in full.($3600.00) If anyone knows of a way to help us out it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried all the resources online that I was given but have gotten no response. I even tried to sell my wedding ring and only got 200.00 for it.
